At the molecular level, the gel is a matrix of agarose molecules that are held together by hydrogen bonds and form tiny pores. At one end, the gel has pocket-like indentations called wells, which are where the DNA samples will be placed: Before the DNA samples are added, the gel must be placed in a gel box.
As the gel runs, shorter pieces of DNA will travel through the pores of the gel matrix faster than longer ones. After the gel has run for awhile, the shortest pieces of DNA will be close to the positive end of the gel, while the longest pieces of DNA will remain near the wells.
The DNA molecules have a negative charge because of the phosphate groups in their sugar-phosphate backbone, so they start moving through the matrix of the gel towards the positive pole. When the power is turned on and current is passing through the gel, the gel is said to be running. [What voltage is used to run a gel?]
After the gel has run, the fragments are separated by size. The largest fragments are near the top of the gel (negative electrode, where they began), and the smallest fragments are near the bottom (positive electrode). As the gel runs, shorter pieces of DNA will travel through the pores of the gel matrix faster than longer ones.
Good clinical judgment is required to select the most relevant research evidence. The best clinical judgment, that is, reasoning across time about the particular patient through changes in the patient’s concerns and condition and/or the clinician’s understanding, are also required.
The teacher, in turn, asked the student whether she had asked the nurse or the patient about the dosage. Upon the student’s questioning, the nurse did not know why the patient was receiving the high dosage and assumed the drug was for heart disease.
Clearly Dunne is engaging in critical reflection about the conditions for developing character, skills, and habits for skillful and ethical comportment of practitioners, as well as to act as moral agents for patients so that they and their families receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Clinical judgment requires clinical reasoning across time about the particular , and because of the relevance of this immediate historical unfolding, clinical reasoning can be very different from the scientific reasoning used to formulate, conduct, and assess clinical experiments.
The clinician’s ability to provide safe, high-quality care can be dependent upon their ability to reason, think, and judge, which can be limited by lack of experience. The expert performance of nurses is dependent upon continual learning and evaluation of performance. Critical Thinking.
Cesarean section is a procedure that is relatively harmless for the mother and baby. However, it is a major surgery and has risks. It also has a lengthy recovery period than vaginal birth. Some women may have difficulty attempting a vaginal birth later. Yet, many women are able to have a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).

A decision rationale describes the reasons for a decision. This may be used to sell a decision to stakeholders or may be used as an artifact to explain the decision to the future. For example, a decision to reject a business plan may explain the risks or shortcomings of the plan. The business plan was rejected because the business model created ...
A project rationale is a pitch for a project. This may be done for a small project that doesn't have a full business case or as a preliminary artifact to pitch a project to stakeholders. A project rationale typically states a problem, a solution and the benefits of the solution as compared to alternatives.
John Spacey, October 28, 2019. A rationale is a justification of something. This explains why you are taking an action or proposing an idea. The following are illustrative examples of a rationale.
A strategy rational explains why a strategy benefits a firm and why the strategy is better than alternatives. This may be included in a strategic planning document or a strategy pitch.
