Using energy Contrary to popular belief, a player's Agility level does not contribute to how quickly the player's run energy is depleted, only how quickly run energy is regenerated. The only factor that contributes to how quickly run energy is depleted is weight.
Agility is a members only skill which gives access to various shortcuts around RuneScape. Apart from the shortcuts, Agility also has several other uses, such as obtaining the graceful outfit and fighting Commander Zilyana. A higher Agility level allows for faster run energy restoration.
The Graceful outfit can only be bought with marks of grace, which can only be obtained by running laps on Rooftop Agility Courses. Buying the entire set takes 260 Marks, which can be obtained as early as level 55~ Agility if the rooftop courses are done, except the Falador course.
From level 60 Agility onwards, it is possible to train Agility by repeatedly using the gap-jump shortcut in the Wintertodt 's prison. Each jump gives 18 experience, making it a good way to get a bit of Agility experience while waiting for the Wintertodt to spawn. If focusing solely on training Agility here, the player can expect experience rates of up to 21,000 Agility experience per hour. Keep in mind that the Wintertodt is a dangerous boss, so it is recommended to bring multiple pieces of warm clothing and sufficient food .
The Gnome Stronghold Agility Course is the Agility course that most players will start at when planning on training their Agility. This course has no requirements to access and is very easy to follow. Additionally, it is impossible to fail any of the obstacles at this course, so it is not necessary to bring any food.
Prifddinas Agility Course. Main article: Prifddinas Agility Course. The Prifddinas Agility Course requires level 75 Agility and completion of Song of the Elves to access. The Agility course consists of twelve obstacles that players can pass in return for Agility experience.
Agility Pyramid. The Agility Pyramid is an Agility training area located in the Kharidian Desert available to players with level 30 Agility. On this course, players start at the bottom of a pyramid with the goal of reaching the top, where they are able to collect the pyramid top.
The Hallowed Sepulchre is an Agility training area located in Darkmeyer available to players with 52 Agility and completion of Sins of the Father. Once an ancient Saradominist burial ground, the Sepulchre consists of five floors, unlocked at 52, 62, 72, 82, and 92 agility. On each floor, players must actively navigate through obstacles and reach the end before a timer expires. On each floor, the player can choose to loot coffins and receive Hallowed marks, or to continue without looting and achieve higher experience rates.
The Barbarian Outpost Agility Course requires level 35 Agility and completion of Alfred Grimhand's Barcrawl to access. This course is a lap-based obstacle course consisting of eight obstacles that players can traverse in return for Agility experience. If all obstacles are passed in the correct order, some bonus experience is rewarded at the end of the lap.
The Giant squirrel is a skilling pet that can be obtained while training at any Agility course. The chances of getting it are dependent on both the course and the player's Agility level.
Wilderness Agility Course offers the fastest experience below 60 Agility. 52 Agility is required to enter the course, but you can also use a summer pie to boost from level 47. However, 49 Agility is required to pass the pipe obstacle, requiring occasional re-boosting if below.
Barbarian Fishing, besides giving Fishing experience, also grants small amounts of Agility (and Strength) experience. Level 15 Agility is required to catch leaping trout, level 30 to catch leaping salmon and level 45 to catch leaping sturgeon. Levelling Fishing from 58 to 99 by Barbarian Fishing would elevate a level 31 Agility to 74. If you plan to get 99 fishing at any point it is highly recommended to do Barbarian Fishing as soon as possible, as it would save at least 24 hours of agility training from level 31-74, and allow you to skip right to the Seer's Village course, one of the best agility courses in the game.
Agility training involves a lot of point-clicking and takes a lot of focus to maximise experience gain. Higher Agility level increases one's ability to regenerate run energy and grants access to various shortcuts. Due to its repetitive nature and slow experience rates, Agility can be considered one of the most tedious skills to train.
If questing is not an option, Gnome Stronghold Agility Course is the only viable training option from levels 1-10 and will earn a maximum of 8,000 experience per hour, with 86.5 experience per run.
If you go from level 30-40 at Varrock Agility Course it will take roughly 100 laps, including falls. Unless you have under 20 hp you should not need food either.
The Falador Agility Course offers around 22,000 experience per hour at level 50 including failures, and will increase as you level and fail less. You gain 440 experience per lap. At 52, you may decide to go to the Wilderness course, otherwise, you can continue at the Falador course if you want to keep getting Marks of grace. But if you are looking to just get marks of grace, go to the Canifis rooftops.
Each lap gives 2,375 experience and can be completed in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. This means it is possible to get over 50,000 experience an hour here (up to 57,000, if one performs consistent perfect laps, with minimal failures).
