The race was scheduled for a 5:30AM start. Buses from the hotels began departing at 3:30AM (yes, you read that right), and Disney recommends you be on a bus by 4AM.
The Dopey Challenge consists of all four Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races—the 5K (Thursday), 10K (Friday), Half Marathon (Saturday), and Full Marathon (Sunday). Disney Fairy Tale Challenge participants should adhere to Half Marathon proof of time requirements. Proof of time is not required for the 5K or 10K races. Proof of time must be provided from an officially timed race reflecting results within the last two years and must be one of the below listed distances.

Another popular runDisney event, this race weekend brings out the Disney royalty in all who participate. Newly added this year, “Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga” will take place in Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella’s Castle prior to the park opening.
This event will be replacing Star Wars Rival Run Weekend, which means 2022 marks the inaugural run of this brand new race! (And it looks like it will be back for the 2023 season as well!) The course is inspired by fan-favorite races including Expedition Everest 5K (nighttime race that includes a scavenger hunt), Race for the Taste 10K ( Ratatouille -themed), and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler (held in the morning rather than at night).
This race takes place during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival and will “explore the music, stories and culinary delights found around World Showcase.”
