Flight 93! Whenever I do a race in San Francisco my bib has Flight 93 printed on it to honor the 40 Heros of Flight 93. On September 11, 2001, 40 strangers boarded United 93 from Newark, New Jersey bound for San Francisco. But, Flight 93 was one of the four hijacked planes that terrible day.

Pat's Run is by far, my favorite run because of who it is named after and who it helps! Pat's Run, which started in 2004, is named after Pat Tillman, who gave up his NFL career and joined the Army after the 9/11 attacks. Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire on April 22, 2004.

Two weeks after doing the terrible New Year's Race, I drove to Arizona for Rock n Roll Arizona!! Rock n Roll Arizona would be my first race in the state of Arizona! I haven't been to Arizona since 2007. I was also looking forward to going to Arizona to see my friend who would be running her first half marathon!
