Beyond the video lectures, Roger CPA Review delivers some top flight practice material. They don't offer the most in the industry (see Gleim CPA for that), but the quality is impeccable. Their 6,000+ multiple-choice questions very closely resemble the actual CPA exam questions you will see on game day.

The primary difference between Surgent and Becker is that Surgent's study plan focuses on efficiency gains through adaptive technology, while Becker provides a more vigorous and traditional curriculum.
Recommended study time per testlet/CPA section is 15 to 20 hours per week, studying as consistently as possible. Plan to take a day off from your CPA study so you don't burn yourself out.
In our team's opinion, these prep books are better than Roger's. Finally, Becker also offers a some very high-quality practice questions, both multiple-choice and simulations. And for those who like to keep score, Becker provides 9,000+ multiple-choice questions to Roger's 6,000, and 500+ simulations to Roger's 200.

UWorld Roger CPA Review has been making a cram course for several years now. It's probably the best stand-alone CPA prep course out there right now because it's specifically designed to be a separate CPA exam prep course.

Roger CPA Review provides an all-round solid prep package that should work effectively for most students. The highlight of this course is the series of video lectures led by Roger CPA’s energetic and passionate founder, Roger Philipp. He bounces around on screen jotting notes on a whiteboard, enthusiastically breaking down difficult subjects with mnemonics and anecdotes, and delivering an all-around engaging learning experience. And these entertaining video lessons are supplemented with some well-written practice questions, adding a nice “learn by doing” practice element to the course.
This includes video lectures, eBooks, full access to all Roger CPA practice problems and simulations, and performance trackers. This package typically runs for around $1,900 full retail. Though not as cheap as other providers’ basic courses, such as Yaeger CPA Review and Wiley CPAexcel, we often see it on sale for less.
He does a masterful job explaining difficult concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms. He manages this mostly through funny anecdotes, analogies, mnemonics and other memory assistive techniques. Rather than trying to have you just memorize material, the idea behind the Roger CPA madness is to have you learn the material, associate it with some memory aid that improves recall, and store it away. It is a very smart means of building comprehension and retention.
The “SmartPath Predictive Technology” is Roger CPA’s innovative tool for seeing how your current knowledge and skills stack up against candidates who have successfully passed the CPA exam. Essentially it compares your data against other successful student’s data at a given point in your studies and provides you an estimate of your percentage chance of passing. If you can work your SmartPath score up to a predetermined threshold, then you have a 91% chance of passing, according to Roger.
If you go with the Premier package, you will receive access rights for 18 months. And if you go with the Elite Course, you will get unlimited access to their online materials until you pass the exam.
Some individuals knock out the CPA exam in 3 or so months between school and work, and others take years to finish it as they handle sections one at a time around a busy work schedule.
While they are generally well-written and nicely organized, they lack the detail that other review courses’ books have. I even border on calling them thin. Whereas Surgent CPA Review basically drops a bible of CPA exam content in your lap with its content-soaked books, the Roger CPA books just don’t stack up in terms of depth.
The main goal of studying for the CPA exam is efficiency . You don’t want to spend twice as much time studying when you don’t have to. This is Roger’s philosophy as well— he knows what it takes to pass the exam the first time and is extremely passionate about you accomplishing your goals.
This style has come to be known as the “Roger Method.”. The company was founded in 2001 after Roger spent years working in the big four and teaching for numerous other review companies. Since 2001, he has helped over 80,000 candidates realize their dreams of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
Some of the course materials can be accessed without an internet connection; that is, if you download the content while you are connected! Afterwards, feel free to access lectures, flashcards, and text passages offline with their companion mobile app for as long as your subscription lasts.
In fact, the most recent update of Roger CPA Review is a complete overhaul, introducing even more powerful technology like SmartPath Predictive Technology and QBank. Consequently, this is now one of the most technologically advanced CPA prep courses on the market today!
Wiley CPAexcel, UWorld Roger CPA Review and Gleim CPA Review offer very similar features for nearly half the cost of Becker with pricing starting at just over $1,300 for these top-rated CPA Exam Review Courses (after promo codes).
Thankfully if you make the necessary sacrifices, it CAN be done while working 40-60 hours per week. The next step in this stressful reality is to find a CPA review course that will maximize your time down to the second. For working professionals, I recommend Wiley CPAexcel's Platinum Review Course for your studying needs. They give you the ability to watch lectures, test yourself with flashcards and answer practice exams on the go from your laptop to smartphone and it's all integrated in one dashboard.
If you have failed the CPA exam, the first step is to recover from this devastating (but not too uncommon) experience. Once you have recovered from failure, the next step is to find fresh multiple choice questions to use so that you don't repeat the same questions over and over. I recommend using the Gleim Megabank. It's what I used to pass the CPA exam after failing all four sections in a row. The next step is to pick the next exam section you need to sit for and whether it should be your retake or a brand new CPA section.
Gleim CPA Review is ideal for Self-Studiers who prefer to take thousands of multiple choice questions and teach themselves from in-depth text and question explanations.#N#Gleim also offers a significant amount of video lectures to go along with their text and questions.
12,000 CPA Exam Questions (Multiple Choice + True False Knowledge Checks) & 600+ Simulations (With Platinum Course - most in industry) - All content now updated for the 2021 CPA exam and will mirror the actual exam.

I want to thank everyone in the community for all the support and guidiance they show everyone here. I can finally say I am a CPA since I got my License in the mail today. Thank each and everyone of you for being there, sharing your knowledge, and supporting me. I couldn't have done it without you!
Does anyone else have a huge issue of looking at your phone while studying?
Just took REG - I am the neurotic type of person who looks up questions after the exam to get some peace of mind on what questions I got right or wrong. There were a lot of questions that I can't figure out the answer EVEN with having all of the study materials in front of me (Becker).
Hi everyone just thought I'd share my experience after taking the AUD section of the CPA just this past week. Overall I studied for 8 weeks including 2 weeks of review, I was actually supposed to take the exam a week earlier then I did but I had a complication earlier this month and had to reschedule.
