In-Person

All students are expected to meet in real time at scheduled class times, in-person, in an on-campus location.

HerkyFlex (In-person & Synchronous)

Students choose between two options of how, when, and where they attend class. Students will make their selection about which option they will take upon enrolling in the class:

HyFlex (In-person, Synchronous, Asynchronous)

Students choose between three options of how, when, and where they attend class. Students can decide which option to select week-by-week throughout the semester.

Blended (In-Person & Synchronous)

All students are expected to meet at scheduled class times, in-person, in an on-campus location on a rotating basis. When students are not scheduled to meet in-person and on-campus, they are expected to attend class at scheduled class times through a remote connection via Zoom.

1. COMS 4 - Introduction to Public Speaking

Almost every field requires good public speaking skills. If you have a fear of public speaking, now is the time to address it and improve. This course goes over the theory and technique of public speaking, with emphasis on organizing, supporting, and clearly stating ideas.

2. DNCE 2A - Contemporary Dance Level lA

If you're someone that needs to get on their feet during the day, this is the perfect way to do so while earning two credits. This class gives an introduction to the history and techniques of the contemporary dance and helps you to develop and improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and creative expression.

3. GERO 100 - Aging Issues in Contemporary America

Gerontology is the study of aging and people and problems of old age; it's not a common field yet it affects all of us. This class gives an introduction to the field and how it addresses society's aging needs.

4. ECON 181 - Economics of Racism

If you're not interested in the detailed mathematics of economics, this economics class may interest you instead. This class analyzes the origins and development of racism, focusing mainly on its impact in the United States, with discussion about different theoretical explanations surrounding racism.

5. PSYC 2 - Introductory Psychology

Psychology is one of the most interesting and applicable fields. This introductory course provides a general overview of theory and research concerning psychological processes at the basic, individual and social levels.

6. GOVT 1 - Essentials Of Government

It is always important to know about the government of the country you're living in. This course examines the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. system of governments, and the ideas and values on which they are based. This course fulfills the U.S. Constitution + California State & Local Govt gen ed requirement and is three credits.

7. ART 20A - Beginning Drawing

This art class gives an introduction to various techniques of and approaches to drawing, using still lifes, landscapes, and figures. The course satisfies the Arts general education requirement and is three credits. This class is offered in the summer as well, so you can take it then if it doesn't fit in your Fall or Spring schedule.
