This course is a basic survey of the music of the Western world. Emphasis is placed on the elements of music, terminology, composers, form, and style within a historical perspective. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills in basic listening and understanding of the art of music.
GUITAR ORCHESTRA
Prerequisites: Previous formal training and the ability to read music is not required; however, a desire to learn to read music is strongly encouraged. This course is recommended for students 18 years and older.
PIANO: JAZZ FUNDAMENTALS
Prerequisites: Those enrolling in this course must be familiar with all piano scales as well as time and key signatures.
PIANO CLASS
Are you interested in learning the piano, but not ready to commit to private lessons? This adult group piano course provides an innovative atmosphere that encourages group interaction and positive thinking. You will study traditional piano skills and learn to play in a group setting.
PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS
The Arts Academy offers premium individual lessons in piano, voice, guitar and other instruments for all ages and skill levels. Students are gently guided by an experienced teacher who tailors lessons to meet the individual needs and personal goals of each student.
