IBM makes no warranty as to the results to be attained by attending a class provided by our Global Training Providers or use of IBM technical education materials.

IBM may modify these terms and conditions periodically. The terms and conditions will be applicable at the time you enroll in a class or have purchased a digital learning subscription.

What is expected of someone who holds a certification from IBM?

What does IBM training manage?

IBM Training manages IBM Technical Content that includes training and credentials. The Technical Content available includes learning types such as courses, badges and certifications. The activities managed under these processes include but are not limited to. Details and Terms are described in the policy here.

Do IBM certification expire?

IBM Certifications do not expire per se. However, the shelf life of some of the roles and tests is limited somewhat by the versions of relevant J2EE specifications and the related WebSphere tooling.

What happens when certification expires?

When using an expired certificate, you risk your encryption and mutual authentication. As a result, both your website and users are susceptible to attacks and viruses. For example, a hacker can take advantage of a website with an expired SSL certificate and create a fake website identical to it.

How do I get email notification certificates to expire?

To receive a notification about expiring certificates, you go to PowerShell. With the Task Scheduler from Windows Server, a Trigger is set up to automatically send an email if an expiry date is approaching. This will list all the certificates that are due to expire within a predetermined time period.

A green check mark next to the enroll link on the class schedule listing means the class has been identified by our Global Training Provider as "Guaranteed to Run". The agreement to deliver this class is between the Global Training Provider and the customer and IBM shall not be liable to customer for any claims, including any claims related to the Global Training Provider's failure to deliver this class. For any questions regarding Guaranteed to Run classes, your schedule or enrollment, please contact the Global Training Provider directly.

Does IBM support other platforms?

Upgrading to the verified track will give you access to all materials, including graded assignments, until the course end date. Upgrading will not change or extend the course end date. You’ll still need to pass the course before it ends in order to earn a certificate.
