Unit Limitations The maximum number of allowable units for Summer Session is 15 units.
When a course is repeated, up to the 16-unit limit, the lower of the two grades is “forgiven” from the GPA calculation. Grade forgiveness shall not be applicable to courses for which the original grade was the result of a finding of academic dishonesty.

We are committed to teaching through an antiracist lens that empowers students to create visual designs that promote racial justice and take action for equity and positive change in our world.

Upon completion of our programs, you will understand the design process from sketching to final comprehensive and be able to create unique graphic designs that communicate ideas to others.
Career opportunities include the following: graphic design, UI/UX design, web design, game design, advertising, marketing, publishing, illustration, T-shirt and garment printing, and digital art.
English proficiency: ENGL 1A, 1AH, 1S & 1T, or equivalent. -Mathematics proficiency: MATH 105, 180, or any MATH course approved for Foothill GE Area V, Communication & Analytical Thinking. A minimum of 90 units is required* to include: -Completion of one of the following general education patterns: Foothill General Education, CSU General Education Breadth Requirements or the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) -Core courses (50 units) -Support courses (8 units) *Additional elective course work may be necessary to meet the 90-unit minimum requirement for the associate degree. NOTE: All courses pertaining to the major must be taken for a letter grade.
The certificate of achievement is awarded upon completion of the core and support courses. General education courses are not required.
