The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of program evaluation in the public sector. It introduces the process of conducting evaluations, the different approaches to evaluation, as well as the skills and methods related to each approach.

There are several types of courses offered at UCF, referred to as course “instructional modes” or “course modality.” The course description includes a modality field which will identify the type of course. In addition, “course attributes” indicate whether or not students will be expected to participate in regularly scheduled online meetings.
UCF Online students do not attend courses on campus. Because UCF Online students do not pay the full fees, only select campus-based services are available. UCF Online students may only enroll into online (W) and video streaming (V) courses.
Former UCF President John Hitt announced the university’s decision to establish a downtown Orlando campus during the UCF Focus Breakfast in September 2014. Set up takes place from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and each organization or vendor is responsible for cleaning up their area after the event. Organizations may bring their own tents by obtaining advance permission from the UCF Downtown Administration office.
Dr. Phillips Academic Commons features four stories of active learning spaces, including classrooms, the downtown library, study and tutor spaces, a moot court, and academic offices. The building is a state-of-the-art learning facility that will overlook Creative Village’s central park, a green space for outdoor concerts and events, scheduled to open at a later date.
UCF is moving to a model where all classrooms can better support active learning methods of teaching. Active learning is not a technology, nor a furniture solution.
