Course Description: Honors Advanced Biology is a college introductory biology class with emphasis directed toward an understanding of the basic characteristics, processes, and activities of living organisms. Laboratory experiments and dissections will be an integral part of this course.
A biology major will be more likely to put you in the classroom or in the field while chemistry will have you in the lab. There's also the question of motivation. Certainly not always, but generally speaking, biology tends to be about the study and protection of living things.

A-Level Biology is at least 2 or 3 times as hard as the GCSE. There is a lot of content (as I've already mentioned) and this makes mastering the A-Level incredibly difficult. And that's not to mention the actual difficulty of the content. The concepts are harder, the processes more in-depth, and the exams longer.
Many students successfully complete their A-Level studies without holding GCSEs or the relevant GCSE in the subject and it is more than possible to do so.
