But in all seriousness, Kutztown has a party scene like any other state school might, but this college town doesn't have a huge bar scene.
Students with cars occasionally seek out fun in nearby Reading and Allentown. However, many students do tend to "go home on the weekends." One student explains, "KU is what they call a suitcase school. When it comes to 3:00 on Friday afternoon, there is traffic backed up throughout the entire campus."

Kutztown Area High School boasts academic excellence as well as numerous sports teams and clubs/activities in which they rival Berks County schools: Fleetwood and Brandywine. As a "one-to-one laptop initiative" school, every student at KAHS is provided with an Apple MacBook Air to use.
