For early admission; an Ontario University will look at your grade 11 marks. If your grade 11 over-all average is high you may get a conditional early offer to a program of your choice pending your required 6 U/M grade 12 course marks and that you meet all other program and graduation requirements.

If you do not want a final grade in a course, then you must use the enrolment system to drop the course on or before the withdrawal deadline date. You are responsible for the accuracy of your enrolment record, and for the accuracy of any adjustments you make to your record.
Deferred standing petitions must be submitted no later than two weeks (14 calendar days) after the date of a missed exam, or due date of term work (tests, essays, and other written work due or scheduled during the term of study).
Petitions for Late Withdrawal from a course will only be considered within 30 days of the last day of classes of the relevant course. Consistent with Senate legislation, such petitions may be considered for a period of up to one year if they are based on special circumstances, but only if the student submits the petition as soon as possible following the 30-day submission deadline, and the documentation justifies the delay to the point of submission. The Faculty is not obligated to consider a petition submitted beyond one year. A petition submitted beyond either deadline – thirty days, or one year – will require a letter and documentation to explain the delay.

Once a student is accepted to York, the University conducts an assessment for transfer credits. This statement outlines how much transfer credit a student will receive and whether or not there are any waivers or exclusions of their degree requirements at York.
Summer session: A full course load is defined as 15 credits in the Summer session.
Students may repeat a passed or failed course twice for academic degree or certificate credit, for a maximum of three attempts at a course. When a student is allowed to repeat a course for academic degree or certificate credit, the grade of the latest attempt will be the grade of record and the only grade calculated in the student’s grade point average (Major, Cumulative, Sessional and Overall). A course shall be credited only once towards satisfaction of degree or certificate academic credit requirements. Contact your academic advisor for more information.
