Course Description

This is an active OnlineLIVE course that requires consistent engagement. This class runs from 8/23 – 12/11 and meets each Tuesday and Thursday, unless otherwise specified on the course calendar. This class should be treated as though you signed up for a “face-to-face course,” only we are face-to-face on Zoom, not on campus.

What to Expect in this Course

As this is a public speaking course you will be delivering live speeches via Zoom, eek! I know this probably made some of your hearts skip a beat, but honestly, there is no need to panic. No matter your experience or confidence level, the key to delivering a successful speech is preparation.

Types of Assessments

All assignments will be found in Canvas and major speeches will be delivered in class, planned for weeks in advance. You will have activities, discussions, written outlines, and a final exam.

Other Relevant Course Information

Our Canvas course will be published Monday, August 23rd. Log in and begin with the “Start Here” module. Then attend our Zoom class on Tuesday, August 24th. You can access all Zoom classes through the “Zoom” button on the left hand side of Canvas. Once you are able to access our course, turn on all notifications.
