A multi-section course is a 1000 or 2000 level Math class that is being taught by several different instructors and/or class times. You can tell you're in a multi-section course if your course number looks like this: Math 1210-03. This would be section 3 of Calculus I.

From the course lobby, select the Create Course button in the upper-right corner.
To add a section to a course, select the blue Add Sections button in the upper-right corner of the section lobby in the Multi-Section Manager.
To add an instructor to an individual section of a course, click + Add an Instructor in-line with the corresponding section in the section lobby of the Multi-Section Manager.
Course coordinators can add any user with a Top Hat Professor account to join them as a course coordinator in their Multi-Section Manager.
In the Base Content tab of the Multi-Section Manager, you will see all course content listed in the content tree on the left side of the screen. All course content can be propagated to the individual sections of the course by selecting the Sync All Content to Sections button in the upper-right of the screen.
Individual sections can only contain content that is propagated to them from the Multi-Section Manager. Once propagated, all content within an individual section of multi-section course is locked to the instructor. This means that section instructors cannot:
In addition to owning the Multi-Section Manager, you as the course coordinator have full instructor-level access to each of the sections nested within it.

It is possible to change content that has been synced from a Blueprint course in an associated course. However, edited content will be disassociated from the Blueprint. That means, if you make additional changes to that item in the Blueprint course those items will no longer be synced with the same item in the associated course.
You are teaching only two sections of a class and you already have the majority of the content built before the start of the semester. In this case, it will be less of a hassle for you to copy the content into both sections individually and make a few changes to each applicable section.
