The Humanities degree prepares students for transfer to a baccalaureate degree program after completion of their associate degree at Erie Community College. The Humanities degree is broad enough to transfer as the core foundation for a variety of baccalaureate degrees in liberal arts, education and pre-professional programs. However, most students selecting the Humanities degree have one or more of the following interests: pursuing a bachelor's degree in Art, Dance, Drama, English, French, Humanities, Music, Philosophy, Sign Language, Spanish or combination of these areas; pursuing a four-year degree in teacher certification at the elementary school level or in secondary English; and pursuing other professional careers related to these fields.
