The DASM and DASSM exams are not proctored but they are timed, and that can lead people to stress out. You will have 90 minutes to complete the 50 questions on the exam. That is sufficient time if you are familiar with the material. Though it is open book, I would not recommend that you try to look the answers up!
Since this is an open book and open notes exam, straightforward questions are fairly easy to answer. When a question is situational and asks what would be the best answer, that is where some people can get tripped up. My students tell me that the DASM exam is pretty straightforward.
