COURSE DESCRIPTION This course examines the enduring question, “What is the Good Life?” from a broad range of humanistic perspectives. Topics include the cost of the good life, how people have chosen to live as members of local and global communities, and conceptions and expressions of beauty, power, love and health.
Universal Tracking is an academic monitoring system that evaluates your progress during the first four semesters to ensure that you are taking the appropriate pre-professional courses for your major.
Grades and Grading Policies There is no standard grading scale at UF. For general purposes, passing grades are A, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D- and S. Failing grades are E and U. However, note that C- is not a passing grade for courses in the major, General Education, or Gordon Rule credit.
Residence Requirements The minimum residence requirement for the baccalaureate degree is two semesters. Students are required to complete the last 25% of the credits needed to satisfy the requirements of their major by taking UF courses.
Hours: All CLAS students must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 120 acceptable semester hours for the degree.
