A note from a student who just drove down University

Alright guys/gals, I just drove down University and wanted to say a few things. I understand there have a been frequent tragic accidents along University, but after what I saw tonight, I’m surprised it’s not more often. Students just run across the street in near pitch darkness when cars are coming, especially in that roadwork by Wawa.

Your graduate instructors are not okay

UF pays most of its humanities grad students less than what an average McDonald’s worker makes. We don’t deserve this. We are not slated to be vaccinated anytime soon. We are not given hazard pay. We are constantly threatened by admin about disciplinary actions if our teaching doesn’t satisfy undergrads who can anonymously report us.
