What happens to my GPA if I repeat a course at KPU?

KPU considers the higher grade for calculation of GPA when a course is repeated. However, the old grade is never erased from the transcript. UBC will look at the average of the two grades while SFU will look at the higher of the two when calculating your entrance GPA.

When should I apply to graduate from KPU?

Do not apply to graduate until you have begun your final term/courses to complete requirements for your program. All requirements must be met with previously completed courses or courses in progress (CIP) before you apply to graduate. Any transfer courses needed for graduation must be processed by KPU before the grade deadline in your final term.

What if I don't have prerequisites for KPU?

If you do not have the required Math or English prerequisites you may write KPU's Math Placement Test (MPT) and or English Placement Test (EPT). What is my academic standing at KPU?

The academic standing for all students who have completed a minimum of 9.0 semester credit hours, and who are enrolled in programs in which letter grades are assigned, will be determined at the end of each semester. All students attending KPU are expected to maintain an acceptable standard of academic achievement.

How do you defer in KPU?

Students cannot be registered or waitlisted in classes if they wish to request a deferral. Submit this completed form to Student Enrolment Services at any KPU campus, or to [email protected]. Submission of this form is not a guarantee that your request will be approved.

How do I drop a semester at KPU?

Students may withdraw themselves from a course via online Registration, or for those programs where registration is not done online, by submitting a Course Status Change form. A student who stops attending class, but does not withdraw by the deadline, will be assigned a grade based on the work completed in the course.

How do I get a completion letter from KPU?

Once you have successfully submitted the online form, you will receive an email confirming the receipt of your online form and your letter will be issued to your KPU email account within 20 business days. You no longer need to come in-person to pick up your letter.

Degree with distinction indicates graduation with a high cumulative grade point average; the words “with distinction” or “with high distinction” are printed on the transcript and on the diploma. Graduating with Honors.

How long does it take to get offer letter from KPU?

3-7 business days after you submit your online application. The offer letter will be issued after the successful processing of your supporting documents. In order to accept your offer of admission, you must pay the non-refundable* confirmation deposit.

What is an enrollment letter?

A letter of enrollment is an official letter that confirms your enrollment at the university. The letter is issued by the university itself on its official letterhead and the student's name is mentioned on it. Once you are done with the application process, you wait for the university's response to your application.
