Which means that you don’t have to necessarily retake the training when you get re-elected or re-appointed – as long as it has not been 7 years since you took the training.

The amended Condo Act mandates all condo directors in Ontario to take mandatory training. This training must be completed within 6 months of the date at which directors are elected or appointed.
For the time being, as far as we know, only the CAO has been designated to provide this training. This means that training taken with other organizations (such as the Condo Director Group or the CCI) does not count towards this requirement.
Once you’ve completed the course, the CAO will email you a certificate, identifying you and the date at which you completed the course.
Directors who do not complete the mandatory training within 6 months of their appointment or election will result in the CAO unleashing the four horsemen of the apocalypse onto their condo corporation.
