A: Courses are largely self-paced, however the PACA course has set session times where you will meet online with your cohort. When you enroll in PACA, you'll select the cohort with the session times that work with your schedule. For your other courses, you will be studying independently on your schedule with 24/7 access to learning resources, such as e-textbooks (which are FREE). Tutors for each course are available too. You can tackle the assessments (tests, assignments, etc.) whenever you are ready. This is essentially the same competency-based approach WGU is known for.

IF you repeatedly do it and don't pass any courses in term, then yes, you will be on academic probation. Probation does affect financial aid if you are using it. I've rolled several courses in my time and never been put on probation. I don't have financial aid, but it counts as a not-pass.
Your financial aid does not get affected, but if you fail to reach the credit goal again, you will not get financial aid.

Started this program in the middle of the pandemic last year in August with the intention of finishing within a year. Although I wasn't able to reach that goal by the calendar date, the 1 month extension was a lifesaver and helped me complete it before the start of a third term.
It took me awhile to figure out how it all works. Spent way too much time on Applied Probability and Statistics (C955), Best Practices in Management: Projects, Staffing, Scheduling and Budgeting (D073), and English Composition I (C455).
I started at WGU July 1st, 2020 with 12 transfer credits. Earned the remaining 109 and graduated with my BA in Special Education in April. Immediately re-enrolled to start my MSCIN July 1st of this year. Today I finished. WGU saved my life.
