Nov 13, 2020 · Duolingo French has a lot of vocabulary. One of the biggest pros is that this app will contribute to vocabulary learning, given the exercises that it provides. Although it may seem a little too repetitive for some, for others this is the best way they could learn.
I've been doing French for a while and was doing each level progressively. Apparently Duolingo updated content just now and included new lessons, however most of my progress is now gone. For example I was Level 3 in Family. Now Duolingo apparently divided the subject Family into Family 1 and Family 2, but I am level 0 on both of them.

Duolingo won't get you anywhere near fluent. If you're learning French (or any other language on Duolingo, for that matter) to be able to read, then you're in the right place. The main goal is to learn more vocabulary and complete your “tree” that has over 200 lessons. Each lesson includes 2 to 10 parts and will take about 15 minutes to finish. Duolingo will help you read and memorize your vocabulary quite fast.
A liaison is when a supposedly silent letter, a consonant, at the end of a French word is pronounced and linked to the following word starting with a vowel. Liaisons could also be difficult to master for beginners that are not used to listening to French or have little exposure to the language.

Another argument could be that the best Duo courses are the ones that have Duolingo Stories included. Duolingo Stories are super fun and also an awesome way to earn XP really fast.
There is currently only one course on Duolingo that has Audio Lessons AND Stories and that is (drum roll!): French for English Speakers!
