Nov 17, 2021 · While I watched Entourage in real-time during its initial run, I recently re-watched (well, I guess re-binged) the series and the follow-up film and it remains as relevant and fresh today. HBO’s hit showcased the excess and opulence of Hollywood while also making the characters actually likable and memorable. And a show about Hollywood would not be …

The very premise of Entourage collapsed as it became clear that Vince was a terrible actor, the kind of guy who really wants to do a serious Pablo Escobar biopic because Pablo Escobar is badass, but doesn't come close to possessing the acting chops of a Daniel Day-Lewis, or even a Johnny Depp.May 29, 2015

Ari's character is based in part on the real-life Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel, who broke away from mega-agency ICM to form the Endeavor Talent Agency, which represents such stars as Vin Diesel and Larry David, both of whom are represented on the show by the fictional Ari Gold.
This name was later used for the character in the film. Ferrara said Entourage creator Doug Ellin granted his request that Turtle's real name be "Sal" in tribute to Sal Assante, a friend who died in 2002.
In Entourage, Adrian Grenier stars as a fictionalized version of Wahlberg named Vincent Chase, while the supporting players are loosely based on the subject's childhood and industry friends. Ari is a complicated character whose personality is somewhere between charismatic and humorous, to profusely vulgar and overbearingly egocentric. His character is written as a satire for stereotypical overbearing corporate moguls in the entertainment industry who push stooges around. Ari is frequently depicted as a selfish man with a haughty, domineering attitude and a short, almost childish temper and sense of entitlement. As a man of wealth, he is a fervent capitalist and firmly believes that people should make their own way through life and not care about how the world treats them, and not to whine when they don't get what they want out of life either because they were too lazy or too stupid to make something of themselves.
Ari Gold (Born July 21, 1967) Age 43 Hollywood super-agent, and the former representative of Vincent Chase. Ari was also the co-owner of the Miller Gold Agency with his one time rival Barbara Miller, before he left the agency to live with his wife in Italy.
He was born in 1967, as stated in the episode "Tree Trippers". Despite his position as one of the most powerful agents in Hollywood, Ari acquiesces to his wife at home (who has a large inheritance from her father), who is able to keep him in check.

Vince’s mom hates to travel and, as a result, has never been to one of his Hollywood premieres before. After realizing the only woman he wants to accompany him down the red carpet is his mother, Vince takes to the radio to publically put her on the spot: “No cursing, mom. We’re on air.” She gets cold feet but changes her mind just in time, as she descends the plane alongside Turtle and E’s mother.
I nominate him torpedoing his relationship with Jacqueline over the course of a few phone messages, due to her not calling him back right away.
Just finished season 2 and it made me wonder what Ari did to Davies to make him then tell Terrance what Ari was up to. It didn’t seem like Ari did much to him, he complimented Davies in a staff meeting and chose him as one of the agents to come with him. I must be missing other details, can anyone explain?
So when Dom joins the crew, why the fuck did they take sedans exclusively? I mean, the S Class is nice and everything, but that's the one plot point of the whole show that doesn't make any sense.
Is this guy the dumbest employee on the show? First, Ari calls and cancels Vinny’s meeting and calls Andy Left a great big F word. Then, when E calls him about why the meeting was cancelled, this Lamar acts like he’s lying and doesn’t ask him any questions about it even though E immediately denies it.
