Lecture and class discussion. Lessons will be prepared beforehand by the instructor and will usually include time for discusion, interaction, and in-class coursework exercises. Lectures are designed to follow a general structure.
The pre-course assignment consists of reading the two required textbooks. In-class assignments include reports on important terms and concepts as well as short quizzes on the course lessons. A post-course assignment involves writing a research paper on the history of the English Bible. Each of these four assignments – the pre-course reading, the report on terms, the in-class quizzes, and the post-course research paper – will be worth twenty-five percent (25%) of the course grade. The pre-course reading will be due at the beginning of the class. The report on the terms and the quizzes will be assigned in-class. The post-course paper will be due within ten (10) days after the final class session.
