Jan 01, 2020 · Excerpts from A Course In Miracles Chapter 6. The crucifixion cannot be shared because it is the symbol of projection, but the resurrection is the symbol of sharing because the reawakening of every Son of God is necessary to enable the Sonship to know its wholeness. Only this is knowledge. The message of the crucifixion is perfectly clear:
The resurrection is the denial of death, being the assertion of life. Thus is all the thinking of the world reversed entirely. Life is now recognized as salvation, and pain and misery of any kind perceived as hell. Love is no longer feared, but gladly welcomed. Idols have disappeared, and the remembrance of God shines unimpeded across the world.
Resurrection means, by Webster’s dictionary: “rising from the dead.” But the A Course In Miracles says there is no death. It says there are many forms of death but there is no actual death. We can lay the body aside when we choose to do so but we don’t literally die. We are immortal; we are eternal. God created us that way. So, we cannot die.
Ascension (which the Course equates with what it calls the final step) The sending of the Holy Spirit The Course even contains views that echo the unique theological importance given Jesus by Christianity. It speaks of Jesus: Being the first to fulfill his own part (his special function in the world’s salvation) perfectly
A Course in Miracles uses even words such as 'Jesus' and 'Holy Spirit' symbolically. according to A Course in Miracles. Instead, it is everything God created.Dec 26, 2019
On its traditional interpretation, the Resurrection is a miracle in the strict sense. For when a dead man comes to life, that is an anomaly, and with the eyes of faith this anomaly can be seen as an intentional act of God.
Resurrection miracles In the New Testament, Jesus is said to have raised several persons from death. These resurrections included the daughter of Jairus shortly after death, a young man in the midst of his own funeral procession, and Lazarus of Bethany, who had been buried for four days.
Most ancient and medieval Christian writers treated this as a miracle, and believed it to be one of the few episodes from the New Testament which were confirmed by non-Christian sources; modern scholars, however, have found no contemporary references to it outside the New Testament.
Thirdly, Jesus' resurrection provides the greatest offer in human history. Because Jesus conquered death, He rightly says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The only way to dwell eternally with God the Father is through His only begotten Son.Mar 30, 2018

The miracles actually served as “signs” pointing to a greater reality. Acts 2:22 declares that “Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God by miracles, wonders and signs.” The miracles substantiated the claims of Jesus to be the Son of God.Feb 11, 2017
What was the purpose of Jesus' miracles? Miracles achieved Jesus' purpose of announcing the presence of the Kingdom of God.
One of the reasons why Jesus used miracles was to exhibit the love and mercy of God toward the plight of human beings. In the healing of the leper, for example, it was because Jesus had pity on the person. Another reason why Jesus performed miracles was to show the people his identity as the Messiah.Oct 2, 2017
The three metaphors used to communicate the supernatural meaning of Jesus' death were: Jesus, the suffering servant, Jesus, the paschal lamb, and Jesus, the ransom for many. If you were asked why God the Father would allow his Son to suffer and die as he did, what would your response be?
Three of the four Gospels that record the earthly life and ministry of Jesus — Matthew, Mark and Luke — mention that the sky became dark as Jesus hung on the cross. “It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three, because the sun's light failed,” according to Luke 23:44.Aug 19, 2017
(63) Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works-a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles.
Very simply, the resurrection is the overcoming or surmounting of death. It is a reawakening or a rebirth; a change of mind about the meaning of the world. It is the acceptance of the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of the world’s purpose; the acceptance of the Atonement for oneself.

The fundamental teaching of A Course in Miracles is the “atonement principle,” which states that separation from God through sin did not happen . The course further teaches that sin is the absence of love and nothing more. It denies that sin is an act against God. The principal purpose of A Course in Miracles is to “restore to one’s awareness ...
It is claimed that A Course in Miracles was “scribed” by Schucman between 1965 and 1972 through a process of inner dictation.
Too much of the Course contradicts what God has already revealed in Scripture, and we know that God does not contradict Himself. Jesus Christ is God incarnate, “the same yesterday, today and forever” ( Hebrews 13:8 ), and He would never contradict the Truth revealed in the pages of Scripture.
The Bible tells us that sin did indeed occur and that it is the source of our separation from God. Sin is described in the Bible, not as the absence of love as the Course states, but as transgression of the law of God ( 1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God ( Deuteronomy 9:7; Joshua 1:18 ).
But the Bible reveals the truth on these issues: “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation” ( Colossians 1:21–22 ).
The only power in the life of a Christian is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, of which we are not ashamed ( Romans 1:16 ). The heart and mind of the unregenerate man has no power to choose anything but death. “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace” ( Romans 8:6 ).
A Course in Miracles teaches people that for physical and spiritual health, they must accept “proper” attitudes toward themselves, life in general, and the world.
His Center for Attitudinal Healing was founded in 1975 under the direction of an “inner voice,” which instructed him to establish a center where the principles of the Course could be taught and demonstrated. A Course in Miracles has influenced the Christian church as well.
Influential psychiatrist Gerald Jampolsky also extols Course virtues throughout the country in his lectures and books. He has appeared on the Phil Donahue Show, Today, and 60 Minutes. Robert Schuller has hosted Jampolsky at his famous Crystal Cathedral. Jampolsky’s bestselling books, There Is a Rainbow Behind Every Cloud, Goodbye to Guilt, ...
For example, “atonement” no longer refers to Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross for sin. In biblical teaching, the Atonement is based on the fact that man’s sinfulness separates him from God. Before man can be reconciled to God, there must be a divine judgment of sin.
According to the Bible, God freely pardons, or forgives, a believer’s sins on the basis of Jesus Christ’s atonement. “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
This is what Christians mean by the word “atonement,” or the atoning sacrifice of Christ (John 3:16, 18).
A Course in Miracles is the name of a book that was written by a channeled spirit, who claimed to be Jesus. Described as “spiritual psychotherapy”, it’s been widely promoted by Oprah, and as of January 2008, she now has Marianne Williamson, the Course’s leading spokesperson, teaching this “Course” on her world-wide XM radio show.
The Course teaches that sin and guilt are not real, and therefore, neither are any of their “seeming effects”. Marianne Williamson believes that A Course in Miracles can, and does generate real and lasting peace.
