It is a good class. You will learn the science and whys to drying. I learned a lot when I took the class 7 years ago. It gave me a foundation to become more efficient at drying and enabled me to work with adjusters at a more intelligent level. This paid for the classes itself as I was able to justify dry times and equipment levels with math and measurements instead of rhetoric and excuses as to why it was taking more than 3 days to get dry. With this ammunition you will get paid more easily by adjusters and customers as it is hard to argue with the math as long as you are following industry standards.
I think you will learn a great deal at a WRT. I would not call it an elementary class. Just ask TCS to send you a curriculum for the class. You will not be disappointed in the class.
The class used to be a two day class, but now it is a three day class. There are also five day classes offered that let you take the WRT/ASD (Applied Structural Drying) together. The newest WRT update was published in April of 2006. It is approved by ANSI (Approved National American Standards).
