What did you learn from the course content?

I feel like I learned a lot from this course. I think, overall, this course was very eye-opening and made me understand, and want to better understand, issues involving gender and how they effect society. I would say the one of the most important pieces of information I learned was just how much the idea of gender and gender roles influences everyday life.

What have you learned in relation to writing argumentative essays?

I think one of the most important things I learned from the course content was how to look at different situations to explain certain behaviors or norms. This is the first sociology course I have ever taken, but I have taken a few psychology courses, and have found that while in this class my mind automatically jumped to personal explanations instead of societal ones.
