This 10 hour certificate program provides basic information and recommended practices for the following core health and safety content areas from the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG). Topics include: Indoor/Outdoor Safety; Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials; Transportation and Field Trip Safety; SIDS and SUIDS Prevention; Shaken Baby Syndrome; Preventing and Managing Infectious Disease; Food Allergies; Medication Administration; and Emergency and Disaster Preparedness. It is comprised of three (3) individual courses that total 10 hours in training.
