Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) is a three-part requirement to obtain your ASA designation from the SOA. VEE credit is obtained through SOA-approved college courses or by SOA-approved online VEE courses like Coaching Actuaries. Each VEE requirement covers a different range of topics.
The VEE topics are not prerequisites for the preliminary exams (Exams P/1, FM/2, MLC, MFE/3F and C/4) and may be fulfilled independently of the exam process. However, you must pass two SOA or CAS actuarial exams before applying to have your VEE credit added to your record.
There are 7 actuarial exams to pass, several online courses to complete, VEE credits to get and a one-day course to attend in order to become an ASA or ACAS. For most people it will take about 4 – 5 years to achieve all these tasks, but doing it quicker is possible.
Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) Frequently Asked Questions | SOA.
Validation by educational experience (VEE) is a process for validating candidate knowledge of topics not tested by any of the ASA exams. Validation through the VEE process is appropriate for topics that are either best learned in a classroom environment, or are considered important, but not core to actuarial work.
When your VEE credit is accepted by the SOA, you will get a notification after approximately 6 - 8 weeks confirming that your credit now appears on your SOA transcript.

I'm writing this as a bit of a vent post. About a year ago, an 'associate' of Oliver James called the front desk at my company to ask to speak with me during work hours on my work line, which I found unprofessional and I asked that they remove my contact information and to please not call my company directly again.
My company has us pay for our exams and material and reimbursed us later. I’m wondering how others do it. I’m not a fan of how my company handles it cause it takes weeks to get reimbursed.
My friend took the exam yesterday (here in Asia) and he did not get instant results. Just the usual print out of “You have completed ifm exam. Your exam responses will be verified by soa and your official score report will be available in the soa online transcript in 8 weeks”.
All I can wonder is how we're supposed to have all this information in our head. The shear amount of material seems like it could be split up into two exams. I just don't get it.
