During their journey Sid met a beautiful sloth named Brooke who ended up becoming the love of his life.
The met in Ice Age: The Meltdown, when the mammoths were thought to be extinct. When they first met, Ellie didn't know she was a mammoth and thought she was a possum, a fact that irritated Manny. Against Manny's will, Sid invites Ellie to escape the meltdown with them and she accepts.
The answer to Peaches' whereabouts in Buck Wild can actually be found at the end of Collision Course, when she and Julian married and presumably went off on their own as they planned. Peaches' absence from Buck Wild is simply because she left with her new husband to start their new life together.
The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild Shira is not seen or mentioned in this spin-off but it can be assumed that she's hunting with the lioness again and maybe brought Brooke with her this time (since she's not seen either).

Gertie is a Dakotaraptor who has the same appearance as her father and her brother as all three of them have red feathers, orange eyes, blue scales, a white underbelly and a black beak. Gertie also appears to be overweight.
She can also act mean when she picks on her brother as she sees him as almost useless like her father does . She, alongside her father, both want revenge on Buck, but in the end of the film, Gertie reforms and she, along with her brother convinced their father to not kill Buck and help save the Earth.
Gertie is the only female Dakotaraptor to appear in the 5th film, as her father, Gavin and her brother, Roger are both males, and her mother was not seen in the film. Gertie is the third Ice Age Dinosaur to let out a T-Rex roar from the Jurassic Park franchise.
