What made the first season of Shokugeki good, anyway? The characters, and both their *intrapersonal* and interpersonal struggles. Souma's ability to rise to the challenge and help the people around him do the same made him a superb character. The interactions between him and Megumi were especially crucial, giving the viewers catharsis shockwaves. The people found their inner strength, and the (romantic) tensions between Souma and Erina kept us praying for more development. The slower passages gave the long season a much better flow. (minor spoilers starting now:)
TL;DR: This show has hype, humour, fan service, stakes getting crazy high and unexpected twists and turns all in 20 minutes. What more do you want? Oagariyo!
Character: Again, they keep introducing characters that seem quite interesting, just so they get defeated in some sort of Shokugeki and never appear again. While the main characters have already been developed, it seems they don't care about anyone else.
After the qualifying test with curry dishes, eight contestants have entered the quarterfinal of Autumn Elections: Souma, Megumi, Takumi, Hisako, Alice, Kurokiba, Hayama, and Mimasaka. Their next challenge: bento.
this the best anime hands down slightly exaggerated on the spur of the moment. But it is very good
Loved this quite frankly. Having already read the manga I didnt care for details and that it may have skipped some things here and there, just wanted to see it in all its animated glory and this season excelled in every way for me. It didnt even feel rushed even though it was.

This is without doubt the most delicious ecchi show I’ve ever watched. It’s full of heart, food, and an amazing storyline. It’s a must-watch show. It’s sort of like Bleach, with a touch of Ecchi added because of reactions to Bankai in the dish once it is eaten.
