The purpose of this course is to expose the student to a select group of contemporary legal and ethical issues faced by managers in today’s healthcare business environment and to provide the student with the knowledge necessary to recognize legal and ethical problems in that environment. This course also equips the student with the ability to critically analyze and address legal and ethical issues in healthcare delivery and management in accordance with a Christian worldview.
The Annotated Bibliography must include at least 10 scholarly sources other than the Reading & Study materials and the Bible cited in current APA format . At least 2 of the sources must relate to the student’s particular area of practice in healthcare, and at least 2 of the sources must relate to biblical worldview considerations of the topic.
You must earn at least 60% of all points (at least 58 total points) AND pass each field exam with at least 50% (at least 8 points) 1 POINT GRADE FORGIVENESS: If a student is only 1 point short either in one field exam or in total points, they would receive passing credit for BUS 302L.
IF YOU DID NOT PASS the BUS 302L lab in a previous semester, you need to take all six exams again. Test scores DO NOT carry over into the following semester.
Be sure to register for both BUS 302 and BUS 302L.
PASS/FAIL POLICY FOR BUS 302L. To pass the class, students must get a minimum score of 50% ( 8 out of 16) on each individual exam and a cumulative score of 60% ( 58 out of 96) . If you do not pass an exam or you wish to increase your score on an exam, you will have two more (total of three) attempts to pass each exam.
In order to complete the Gateway experience, students are required to pass two classes (Bus 302 and Bus 302L). Business 302L is a one unit self-paced learning class. There are no regularly scheduled class meetings. You will take six lower division core concept exams in the following six areas listed below. The exam schedule will be posted on this website.
