A deferral may only be obtained once and is only valid until the end of the current license year.
A Georgia Hunter Education Certificate is required for anyone who hunts game within the state , born on or after January 1st, 1961. There is no minimum age to get certified, however some requirements may vary for youth and non-residents.

Hunters younger than the age of 12 who have not yet completed a hunter education course must be accompanied by a licensed hunter age 19 or older. If the accompanying hunter is 19 to 29 years old, he or she must have completed education and carry proof of successful completion while hunting.
All Nebraska hunters age 12 through 29 must carry proof of successful completion of a Firearm Hunter Education course if they are hunting any species with a firearm or air gun.

LIFETIME LICENSES. Hunter education certification is not required to purchase a lifetime hunting or sportsman license. However, to hunt with a lifetime license the holder must comply with at least one of these requirements: Complete an approved hunter education course and hold certification card.
Anyone 16 and older may hunt without hunter education certification when in possession of a Hunting Heritage Apprentice Permit, proper hunting license and any other required permits, so long as accompanied by a licensed adult within sight and hearing distance.
