Return of Title IV Funds Procedure This procedure shall apply to all students who withdraw, drop out or are expelled from Wake Technical Community College and receive financial aid from Title IV funds.
Career and Technical Education pathway eligibility Has an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on high school courses. Demonstrates college readiness in English, reading and mathematics on an assessment (see table below)

If you don't see the notification, and it is past the halfway point of the semester, please check with your instructor to verify the course evaluation is active. If the course evaluation is active, you may have completed it already.
Grade of W: Students who withdraw or who are withdrawn for any reason, including attendance policy violations, on or before the 60% point are assigned a grade of W.
A student taking required Academic Foundations courses must earn a passing grade of "C" or better. A grade of "R" or "F" may require the student to repeat the course. Students are expected to take personal responsibility for their attendance and use discretion when making schedule choices to meet the demands of work, family, and other responsibilities.
Absences for Religious Observances. Wake Tech recognizes its legal and ethical responsibilities to accommodate students who must miss classes to participate in religious observances. North Carolina law requires that students be permitted at least two excused absences per year for these purposes.
July 5th (College holiday break) July 30th – August 13th (eLTC closed for maintenance) Students in online and hybrid courses may be required to complete tests or assignments with a proctor at a Wake Tech eLearning Testing Center (no student fee involved) -OR- with an approved proctoring location.
All proctored exams must be administered within an educational setting, i.e. academic institution with an official school email address, or employer within an educational setting or military base. Military personnel may make arrangements for proctored testing with the command educational officer.
NOTE: children are not allowed in the testing center or anywhere on campus grounds unattended. A Wake Tech photo I.D. badge is required by students, staff, and faculty. Masks are required and must be worn when visiting any Wake Tech campus facility, office, or classroom.
Wake Tech has hand sanitizer available for all students, faculty, and staff to use. Proctors will be cleaning used surfaces after each student’s exam session. Each night, buildings will receive deep cleaning. No one is allowed to linger in hallways or classrooms.
