Fall 2022: March 22 - April 5, 2022 Web Drop/Add Availability. Drop/Add opens at 8:00 p.m. on the dates listed below. During the Fall semester, Drop/Add has an initial period that will open at 8:00 p.m.
Request two ECON Electives at the 3000 or 4000 level if you have completed ECON 3104, ECON 3204, ECON 3254 or ECON 4304. If you have completed four ECON Electives then you only need to select one ECON Elective to course request. Note - Special Study and Contemporary Topic courses will be added before Drop/Add. 4.

Course Withdrawal (“W” grade) is a policy whereby you can withdraw from three courses (regardless of the number of credit hours) during your academic career at Virginia Tech. Course Withdrawal is not available until after the normal six-week drop deadline date for a semester.

In R'Web there is a feature known as Conditional Add and Drop which allows a student to drop a section from their schedule on the condition that he/she is able to add into another section.
All students, regardless of level, may not drop their last course. Students must complete a university Student Resignation Form to drop all courses. Your form may be mailed, physically dropped off by the student, or emailed to registrar@vt.edu. If emailing your form, you must include your self FERPA passcode.
Under the pass/fail system students are allowed to take ten percent of the total number of credits required in their degree program on a pass/fail basis. The number of credits allowed under the pass/fail system is based on the course work completed at Virginia Tech.
Pass/Fail Grading System The P/F grading option is available to all undergraduates who have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at Virginia Tech and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. These restrictions do not apply to courses that are only offered P/F.
Step 1: Your Virginia Tech (VT) GPA is calculated by adding up all the grade points you have earned, and dividing by the total amount of credit hours earned.
