A degree audit is an unofficial audit of progress toward the degree that reflects courses completed and currently in progress.
Students may add a hypothetical course to a degree audit to determine what effect it may have on the report. To add a planned course, click “Courses” on the menu bar and select “Planned.”. Click the “Add Planned Course” button and enter the following: Term: This field defines the semester the student took the hypothetical course.
Students may view a previously run audit. Choose “Audits” in the menu and select “Manage.” Click the “View Audit” link in the “View” column to view the desired audit. Audits are purged on a regularly scheduled basis.
Transfer course articulations may be incomplete, especially if a student runs a degree audit for a major that is not the current degree program from the Student Information System.
Protect your personal information by closing all open browser windows when terminating your degree audit session.
Title: The course title is an optional field and will not appear in the audit.
A grade of C- or higher is required in a course to receive credit on the "Credit/No Credit" option.
A graduate student may include up to three credit hours of non-graded graduate course work in the program of study with the approval of the department. The credit/no credit grading system may not be used in Presidential Scholars Seminars or for the Presidential Scholars Thesis/Project credit.
Course work passed without grade (CR=credit) may not be retaken except by special permission of the dean of the college in which the course is offered. A graded course completed may not be retaken on an ungraded basis.
Students may audit a course, but the tuition and fee assessment will be the same as a course taken for credit. Audited courses will not be recorded on the permanent record except by a student request approved by the instructor showing that the student regularly attended the course.
The credit/no credit system may not be used with Credit by Examination, Extension, or Correspondence (specified as Guided Independent Study at UNI) courses.
The credit/no credit grading option is designed to encourage students to explore areas of academic interest that they might otherwise avoid for fear of poor grades. Credit/no credit courses are not counted toward the GPA, but are included as part of the total credit hours and are assessed as credit hours.
A grade of C- or better is required to earn credit. All students considering this option are cautioned that many graduate and professional schools consider applicants whose transcripts bear a significant number of non-grade symbols less favorably than applicants whose transcripts contain none or very few.
Credit/no credit courses are not counted toward the GPA, but are included as part of the total credit hours and are assessed as credit hours. Instructors are not informed of those students in their classes who are taking work under the credit/no credit option, and they report the usual letter grades at the end of the course.
Mailed transcripts should be sent to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions. University of Illinois. 901 West Illinois Street.
Students may use Transferology to view what coursework will transfer to the university. The transfer course equivalencies and the reports generated from the system do not constitute a contract between the student and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Students still need to contact their college offices to verify how the transfer coursework will be accepted and used towards graduation requirements in that college.
Plan Ahead is another feature that allows you to create a schedule before your time ticket is open and once it becomes available, register with just a few clicks.
Browse Classes. From the Enhanced Registration Main Menu, select the Browse Classes link, choose the term you wish to view, and click the Continue button. Select the course Subject from the available drop-down menu or you may type in the field and results will auto-populate.

After changing majors, International students should update their I-20 by using the “Change of Field” form in the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) iSTART system.
Students must earn credit for an introductory psychology course (PSY C 100 or equivalent), a course in social, clinical or developmental psychology (PSYC 207, 201, 216, 238, 239, 245, 250, or equivalent), and a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign biological/cognitive psychology course (PSYC 204, 210, 220, 224, 230, or 248).
Minimum expectations at the time of transfer are that the student has completed Math 241 and 347 with an on-campus math major GPA of at least 2.50.
Students who are already within LAS may request curricular changes at two times each semester: at the beginning of each semester or at mid-semester. If you are ready to change your major within LAS, complete the Curriculum Change Form during the posted application period.
Final decisions will be announced in midsummer (for the February application period, after grades for the spring semester are posted) or January (for the September application period, after grades for the fall semester are posted), and successful applicants will be given registration overrides for appropriate CS courses.
Students must attend a CS+X Information Session the semester they are taking their final qualifying course (s): sessions will take place in September and February.
To drop or change your credit hours after 10th Day, please fill out and submit the Late Registration & Late Course Change form ( please note that a refund will not be available for dropped course (s) and/or to reduce course credit from 4 to 3 hours for the extra credit hour after 10th Day).
Please note, withdrawing for the semester does not automatically remove you from the degree program. Please contact your department (AE - Jenna Russell, BIOE - Liezl Bowman, CEE - Meg Griffin, CS - Viveka Kudaligama, ECE - Stacy Walker, ISE - Lauren Redman, MechSE - Kathy Smith) if you are concerned about your status.
