Travel courses do not require tuition payment; even if a Spring Term has been completed in the past. Students in travel courses only pay the fee listed in the course description. Fees. Feb 19, 2014 · The University of Indianapolis’ requirement to take a spring term course puts a burden its students. I have taken a spring term course twice. The first one I didn’t take as seriously as I should have, so I had to take another to get the credit I needed. Both times I took a course on campus because I didn’t have the money to travel abroad.

About Spring Term Spring Term offers students an opportunity to participate in a course that is creative, innovative, and interdisciplinary. Spring Term courses are characterized by subject matter and learning experiences not available during the regular semesters.
A "withdrawal" from a course or courses must be made in consultation with your academic advisor by completing a drop/add form. An advisor's signature is required for day division students who wish to withdraw from a course.

IU sadly has the reputation of party school. Like a lot of other colleges, we do have parties, but all of our students are every academically inclined. Students are not partying 24/7. As every school does, we have some students that have a little too much fun, but we don't have more than any other school.

Spring Term is tuition-free to students who were enrolled full-time (day division) during Semesters I and II immediately prior to Spring Term, have no unpaid balance with the University, and have never taken a Spring Term course in the past.

There will be no additional charge for housing during Spring Term if the student meets the requirements for free tuition during Spring Term. Students who do not meet the requirements for free tuition will be assessed housing and meal plan charges for Spring Term attendance. Contact the Office of Student Billing and Payment for rates.
Registration for Semester I, 2021-2022 (Fall) will begin on Monday, March 29, 2021. Below are the dates and times registration will be available for each student group: Monday, March 29, 2021 at 7:00 AM EST - Seniors, Graduate/Doctoral, and Accelerated Adult Programs.
You may elect to be placed on a waitlist for a closed class. Students may do this in the online registration interface by submitting a selected CRN for a course and selecting Wait List from the drop-down menu.#N#See more information about the waitlist process.
Conditions for Registration. You are expected to register for yourself, but if you are unable to do so, you should contact your academic advisor in advance of registration for instructions about an alternative process. Students with registration holds will not be allowed to register.
A course designed through an academic school or department to provide the student with a full-time work experience in a practical environment. Internships are arranged and supervised by faculty members and must be approved by the supervisor and the school or department prior to registration. A grade of satisfactory or unsatisfactory (S or U) is assigned by the University supervisor in cooperation with the work supervisor. (Internships for academic credit should not be confused with cooperative education experiences and internships arranged through the Office of Career Services.)
A student may engage in research or advanced study on an independent study basis in any academic discipline and earn between one and eight hours of credit. Permission to undertake an independent study project is granted on completion of an application (Available in the Office of the Registrar) and with the approval of the faculty supervisor, the dean of the school or the chair of the department in which the proposed study is to be completed, and the dean of the college/school in which the course is offered. The application for independent study must be on file in the Office of the Registrar prior to registration day. Coursework offered through regularly scheduled classes normally cannot be taken as independent study.
An academic course designed to relate theory and practical experience. A practicum includes both classroom and work activities. A traditional letter grade is assigned based on a combination of academic study and on-site work responsibilities.
