When registering for classes in ONE. UF, students can see the waitlist option (if available for the course) with an +Add to Wait List button for the course offering if that class is closed. A waitlist for certain classes can become available as early as the first day of class enrollment.

What is a waitlist for a course?

This option allows you to add your name to a queue to register for the course section if a seat becomes available. Note: You are not permitted to waitlist for a section of a course if you're already registered for another section of the same course. USF uses waitlists as one tool to track actual course demand.

How do I drop a course from the waitlist?

You must register for the course within 24 hours of the e-mail notification; otherwise, you will be dropped from the waitlist and the next person will move to the top of the list. If you no longer wish to be on the waitlist, you must drop the course through OASIS using the Drop/Add menu.

Does being on a waitlist guarantee registration for the class?

Being on a waitlist does not guarantee registration for the class. It is recommended that you register for an alternate class in case the course never becomes available to you.

What are the hours of registration for UF courses?

Generally, the ONE.UF registration system is open 24 hours. Log on to ONE.UF to access the Schedule of Courses to plan for your registration as well as accessing the registration system. If you are prevented from registering, ensure you have no holds on your record by looking at Registration Holds.

Can you get waitlisted from UF?

At UF, we do not wait-list applicants, but this does not mean that all dreams of joining The Gator Nation have ended. There are still opportunities to join our campus as an upper-division transfer student or by applying to one of our excellent graduate or professional programs in the future.

Can you get deferred from UF?
