To qualify for general admission, you must have a high school diploma, its equivalent, OR be 18 years of age or older, and be able to benefit from a program of study at Tidewater Community College. Associate Degree Graduation Requirements Earn a minimum of 25% of the semester credit hours required for the degree at TCC. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all TCC courses. Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all courses presented for graduation. Complete all degree requirements satisfactorily.
Grade Point Average (GPA) You must have a minimum grade of “C” in the 3 science prerequisite courses, but most applicants selected for admission have a science GPA of 3.4 or higher. All general education courses require at least a grade of “C”.
Admissions Criteria You have a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA. You have Qualifying Alternative Assessment /Courses (PERT, ACT, SAT, etc.).
(a) Cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, academic misconduct or other forms of academic dishonesty. (b) Withholding information or furnishing false information to any college official, faculty member or office. (c) Forgery, alteration or misuse of any college document, record, or instrument of identification.
60 credit hoursA. A total of 60 credit hours is required for the A.A. degree.
Retaking a course may raise your student's GPA (grade point average). In many schools, if a student retakes a course, the most recent grade will replace the lower grade in the student's GPA. The earlier, lower grade will remain on the transcript, but will not be included in the GPA.
The Tarrant County acceptance rate is 100%. Popular majors include Liberal Arts and Humanities, Business, and Information Science.
TCU has no minimum requirement for GPA or test score to be considered for admission. TCU is test optional for applicants through 2024. (See our Testing Policy.) For the class that entered TCU in Fall 2021, the middle 50 percent scored between 1200 and 1380 on the SAT, or between 28 and 32 on the ACT.
