Star Fox Boss FAQ v. 1. 00 By primary weapon I mean the weapon the enemy will use most. The difficulty rating ranges from 1 (easiest) to 5 (hardest).
Shoot the body until the boss has gotten somewhat close, then move to the side again in the middle of the y-axis. The boss will spin around again, trying to hit you with its necks. Fire at the tail again to shorten it once the boss has moved away, then shoot the body once it starts flashing. The enemy's shield should be about half empty by now.
Keep shooting the core until the boss' shield meter is fairly low, at which point the bubbles and spikes on the top of the boss will fly off, leaving the core unguarded, but it is shooting more lasers now than ever. Keep shooting the core until the boss is defeated.
The boss is a huge slot machine, which is extremely hard to beat. You have to shoot it until it spins three "7"s. When you beat it, the credits come up as if you beat the game normally, but you can still fly your Arwing through them!
To defeat it, Fox must shoot both of the eyes until they turn black. When they do, there will be some explosions and then its body will shatter, revealing a cube-like core with a blue point at the top and bottom that has Andross's face on four sides (without pupils).
When you defeat Andross' first form, you will have to defeat his brain form in all-range mode. In order to damage the brain, you must destroy the eyes. If you somersault immediately upon entering all-range mode, you can throw a bomb just as the eyes are being released to destroy both of them.
The objective of the game is to go through one route (Level 1 for beginners, Level 2 for more skilled players and Level 3 for seasoned veterans of the game) that begins at Corneria and eventually reaches Venom, the planet where Andross has holed himself up. Along each route, there are six stages apiece, all different.

To find the black hole, choose course one and get to the asteroid belt. There go through the course as usual but when the long chain of asteroids appears, wait until they come very close then destroy them. After you do that to all of them an asteroid with a face appears. Keep shooting it until it turns into a black hole and go through it.
When the game ends and the Air-wing is spinning around, press Y on Controller Two to select an enemy. You can now rotate and zoom in and out just like you could with the Air-wing.

Very unfortunately, the project was scrapped, because Nintendo was already working on a Star Fox game for their upcoming console, the Nintendo 64.

While the game Star Fox may be considered "pixellated", with very poor 3D graphics today, it was the cutting edge of technology then.
