This script has not been maintained for some time due to personal reasons and I don't actively use StackSkills. Since they has tightened up their security access and using cookies doesn't seem to work for me, I'm putting off the maintenance of this for good.
This is a non-official Ruby script to download all StackSkills tutorials. Login email and password is required to get your list of subscribed courses.
One constructive way is give out free coupons to get honest feedback instead of reviews. Fix course as per feedback and then reviews will flow automatically from real students.
When it comes to more advanced courses, a good one is worth the money ($30 at least, assuming you have $30 to spare!), whether it’s a book or a video or whatever. It can save you a lot of trawling through impenetrable documentation. When you’re already working on software, a good course can make you your money back very many times over. Which is why people like Oracle can charge $3000 for a course. Udemy sells everything for less than $50, and more like $20 on average.
A course can’t itself teach you to code. It’s only really a source of information. So the question is whether you’d rather get your information from a video course or somewhere else. But you’ll still have to learn to code by actually coding; there’s no way around it.
Instructors are not necessarily teachers with credentials or real certifications. Anyone with a webcam that can meet a certain quality standard can create a course on Udemy. This is generally not a problem, as the marketplace and ratings system usually sorts out the poor quality courses.
Many times you will save money this way. Udemy has great promotions for the same courses StackSills offers. Also StackSkills do not offer a forum or chat where you could ask questions if you get stuck.
Hmm is it mandatory to execute youtube-dl without .exe ? I think we'll need some workaround to make youtube-dl work.
According to youtube-dl github page, you'll need to place it in your system folder:
Downloading Internal_JavaScript Fatal Python error: Py_Initialize: unable to load the file system codec ImportError: No module named 'encodings'
Closing this for now as there's no newer response. Please re-open the issue if the problem persists, thanks.
