A bigger pinion or smaller spur gear makes the vehicle have more top speed, at a decrease in acceleration. It's most likely that gearing up will make everything run a bit hotter, and shorten run times. A smaller pinion or larger spur gear has the opposite effect.Feb 28, 2017
The smaller the pinion gear is to the spur gear the faster the car can accelerate, with larger pinion gears or just slightly larger than the spur gear making RC cars that can go at seemingly impossible speeds.Mar 14, 2021
The closer the pinion gear & spur gear are in tooth count, the higher the speed. The further away they get in tooth count, the higher the torque output. Thinking about it this way, it doesn't matter which gear you change - it's applicable to any vehicle, any gear pitch, and any tooth count.
Short course off-road racing is a form of auto racing involving the racing of modified vehicles on a dirt road closed course of a short length (tens of kilometers / miles or less).
32 pitch is larger teeth than 48. Specifically it's the number of teeth per inch of gear pitch diameter. There are metric systems too, like Module 1 for example. ( aka Mod 1) so if ur wanting to gear down which would be getter 32 or 48.Jul 7, 2010
One of the cheapest and easiest ways to increase the speed of your RC is by adjusting the gear ratio. There are two gears on your RC, the pinion gear and the spur gear. Both can be upgraded to give your RC either a faster top speed or better acceleration. This is the gear that is attached directly to your motor.
Pinion Gear – A pinion is the smaller of two meshed gears in an assembly. Pinions can be either spur or helical type gears, and be either the driving or driven gear, depending on the application. Pinion gears are used in many different types of gearing systems such as ring and pinion or rack and pinion systems.Jan 10, 2018
4.10:1 gearsIn the real world, typical street machines with aspirations for good dragstrip performance generally run quickest with 4.10:1 gears. Lower gears are required if the car is very heavy, or if the engine makes its power at the upper end of the rpm scale.Dec 1, 1998
Calculating gear pitch diameter can be done by dividing the number of teeth on the gear by its diametral pitch. For imperial gears, the Diametral Pitch will generally be an integer ranging from 3 (for very large gears) to 64 (for very small gears).
Clearly the body is different with the SCT classes having the tires under the fenders like the real TORC/LOORS/Trophy trucks. The ROAR specs state that the Stadium Truck(just Truck) class has to be between 229-292mm while the Short Course Truck specs are between 320-335mm.Feb 12, 2010
