Pasadena City College has a very nice and calming campus. It is one of top recommended schools in California which has caused classes to fill up so quickly. It is recommended to apply for classes as soon as possible, but other than that PCC fulfills other satisfactions.
The general rules for repetition of courses are as follows (see exceptions below in Courses Repeatable for Credit ):
Repetition of courses (other than those noted below in Courses Repeatable for Credit) is subject to the following conditions:
Certain courses may be repeated for additional experience and credit, and are so identified in their course descriptions by a "maximum credit" notation. You may enroll in one of these exception courses once per semester and as many times as allowable until the maximum credit is earned.
1. Satisfactory Academic Progress. Satisfactory Academic Progress is an eligibility requirement for both federal and state financial aid.
Additionally, if you stop attending or withdraw from your classes before you complete nine weeks or 60% of a term , you may be required to repay all or a portion of your federal aid. To avoid repayment, return or decline all funds received to Fiscal Services, C-203 immediately. Review Enrollment Policies.

You are expected to be ready for each class before the class begins as no time is given "in class" to study. A college unit is a measure of time involved in class instruction.
Go to the learning centers (reading, writing, or math) Hand in work on time and do not miss exams. Have college-level work ready to hand in on due date. Do not use excuses to rationalize lack of preparation. Use a calendar, schedule time realistically, and follow the course syllabus.
A one-unit (1) lab typically requires three (3) hours and 20 minutes of lab-time per week. Total Time = 36 Hours Per Week (That's why 12 units is considered full-time student status.) Use these as a guideline for how many classes to take based on how much you work.

We graduate students three times per year (fall, spring, and summer). Once you register for your final semester, you may apply for graduation.

Students who have completed Advanced Placement Examinations of the College Entrance Examination Board (Box 592, Princeton, New Jersey 08540) shall receive credit for Pasadena City College courses as listed below. A grade of “Pass” will be assigned to each student who obtains a score of 3, 4, or 5, except as noted.
Students may earn credit for College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) Advanced Placement (AP) Tests with scores of 3, 4, or 5. AP credit can be used to meet IGETC, CSU GE, and Associate degree general education and/or major requirements.
The College will grant a maximum of 6 units elective credit based on scores recommended by the American Council of Education in each General Examination of the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) of the College Entrance Examination Board (Box 1821, Princeton, New Jersey 08540).
Some CLEP exams may be used on the CSU General Education Breadth Certification. Students must have the College Board ( https://clep.collegeboard.org) send CLEP exam results to the Admissions and Records Office (un-opened hand carried copies will be accepted) for use on the CSU G.E. pattern.
A score of 5, 6 or 7 on Higher Level exams is required for IGETC G.E. certification. IB units will not be posted to the PCC transcript.
A score of 4, 5, 6, or 7 is required for CSU G.E. Breadth Certification. IB units will not be posted to the PCC transcript.
The student is currently enrolled and attending the College in at least one graded course (the requested credit-by-exam course does not meet these criteria).
