Kristoff: The Enchanted Forest. Misthaven, also known as the Enchanted Forest, is a Fairy Tale Land realm featured on ABC 's Once Upon a Time and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. It first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time . This history section is only about the Enchanted Forest and the kingdoms in it.
Following Roni 's curse to stop the division between the various worlds, the Enchanted Forest is now part of the United Realms . ↑ The episode erroneously states that these events take place 200 years before Emma comes to Camelot. Adam Horowitz has stated that this was an error, and that it should have stated 500 years ago. ( see here)
Execution exists in the Enchanted Forest, as when it was found out that the Genie of Agrabah killed King Leopold, Regina, the Queen, told the Genie that he would be executed. This is further confirmed when the Evil Queen was almost executed by Snow White and Prince Charming but the execution was stopped in the last minute.
The Enchanted Forest appears in the Underworld storybook in "The Brothers Jones", "Firebird" (seen upside-down) and "Last Rites". The Enchanted Forest appears in Once Upon a Time Volume II in "The Other Shoe".

Everyone will be transported back to the Enchanted Forest, prevented from ever returning—except Henry. Since he was born in the Land without Magic, he can't be brought into the Forest. Only Emma will be able to stay with him because she is the Savior and thus able to escape the curse once again.
In this episode, Elsa is framed, while flashbacks show Elsa meeting her aunt, The Snow Queen. This episode marks the introduction of Michael Socha as Will Scarlet to the main cast, who recently featured in the spin-off series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
Brennan breaks down and apologizes for abandoning him, telling him what happened after he left: He got caught, and then was saved by true love's kiss. He married a woman who made him change his ways and become a better man, though she died from the plague.

Back in Camelot, we see as Hook becomes a Dark One after Emma's 'helpful' deed of transforming him to save him from dying. The transformation brings up all of his painful memories, especially from his quest to slay Rumplestiltskin for killing the woman he loved -- and for cutting off his hand.
A sad, crying Emma goes through with his wishes and impales Hook with Excalibur, which kills all of the previous Dark Ones. As Hook dies, his neck wound from Excalibur returns, and Emma is transformed back into her normal self, with Excalibur disintegrating afterwards.
Killian aka HookIn Episode 2 of Season 7, Jennifer Morrison returned as Emma Swan, to help complete the fan favorite's storyline. That included leaving her romance with Killian aka Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) on a happy note. Towards the end of Season 6, Emma and Killian actually got married.

500 years before Emma Swan comes to Camelot, the sorcerer Merlin and his lover, Nimue, travel from Camelot to the site of the Flame of Prometheus. Merlin uses the fire to melt the Holy Grail into a sword, Excalibur, intending to use it to remove his own magic so he can live a mortal life with the woman he loves. However, things take a turn for the worse when Nimue admits that she drank from the Holy Grail without Merlin knowing. She uses her new powers to kill an old enemy, a masked man named Vortigan, in cold blood. By doing so, she becomes the first Dark One .
Merlin's Apprentice protects his teacher's creation, a box capable of transforming into a hat for absorbing and accumulating magic, from each person that takes on the Dark One's powers. Zoso, another Dark One, attempts to steal the mysterious box, only to be blasted away by the artifact's magic.

5. 04. Mary Margaret and Lancelot travel from Camelot to the vault, hoping to find a way to cure Emma. However, once they get there, they discover that King Arthur himself has followed them.
Sometime before Snow White and her allies return to the Enchanted Forest, Aurora and Prince Phillip repair their kingdom and defeat the roaming ogres. They face a new threat, The Wicked Witch, and in time, Snow and Charming learn from Glinda that only Emma is strong enough to defeat her. Snow decides to recast the Dark Curse by sacrificing Charming's heart, but before the curse spreads, The Wicked Witch adds a potion to make everyone forget about their time in the Enchanted Forest. In fear that Charming's death was all for nothing, Snow allows Regina to split her heart so she and her husband can share halves of the same heart. This works, with Charming being revived, just before the curse engulfs them as well as the other Enchanted Forest inhabitants, sending them back to Storybrooke.
After taking the Darkness into herself, Emma becomes the new Dark One and emerges from the vault. As the dark side beckons, she tries to find her way to Camelot, and meets a young woman named Merida. Emma 's friends and loved ones travel to the Enchanted Forest by cyclone, where they are reunited with Emma. King Arthur and his knights find them. He takes them to his kingdom, Camelot, to help find the sorcerer, Merlin, who went missing.
The inhabitants unaffected by The Evil Queen's Dark Curse due to Cora's protection are frozen, unable to age, and build a Safe Haven to protect themselves from the ogres dominating the land .
Woods of the Dead is an Enchanted Forest location that appears in the eighth episode of the second season. This is where the last of the poppies, used to make sleeping powder, have taken seed.
Winter Garden is an Enchanted Forest location that appears in the nineteenth episode of the third season. It is where Glinda, banished from Oz by the Wicked Witch of the West, is sent. Full of ice and snow, the Winter Garden is located south of Rumplestiltskin's castle, and only the pure of heart may enter into her domain.
Anastasia and Will's Cottage is an Enchanted Forest location that first appears in the third episode of the spin-off. This was the home of Anastasia and Will until they left for Wonderland.

Although the Dark Curse ravaged throughout the land, the Enchanted Forest still exists, with some corners of it untouched.
Sometime later, time resumes in the Enchanted Forest. Bilbo continues to seek shelter while Philip, and Mulan continue their search for Aurora. Philip and Mulan later find him and allow him to continue on in their quest.
Bilbo was sent to the Enchanted Forest while he should be teleported to Middle-earth. Jack should have returned to the Caribbean. However, it is later revealed the Curse chose Sparrow and Baggins to be there for some odd reason.
I though Emma as the Dark Swan was a interesting idea in season 5 but it should have either been a permanent change in theme with the show being a twist on fairytales and what we expect or at the very least should have lasted the whole fifth season and not half of it.
It’s weird because of course you can’t comment about them without mentioning that their love story was about 15 minutes in flashback and hades fell in love in the span of the night and perhaps Zelena if she didn’t stop herself.

After Regina undoes Pan 's Dark Curse to send all the fairy tale characters back to the Enchanted Forest, they all promptly return, but Snow White recasts the Dark Curse to send them back to Storybrooke .
