Yes, there is an elevator. The Whistler Sliding Centre (from the 2010 Olympics) has an access road that runs along the track, so they could put the sleds in a truck and drive them along the access road. Once you get to the end of the road, there's an elevator to get up to where the track starts. Ski jump towers also have elevators in them.
