The Pythons always had problems fully funding their projects and Holy Grail was no exception. The movie was supposed to end in a large battle scene between King Arthur's knights and the outraaageous French forces, but it quickly became apparent the production was out of money and couldn't afford to shoot the scene.May 25, 2020

The 'Castle of Aaargh', the island castle where the Grail supposedly resides, turns out to be Castle Stalker, at Appin, Argyll and Bute, about 20 miles north of Oban. The 15th century stronghold is a quarter of a mile from the shore of Loch Linhe and occasionally open to the public subject to tides and weather.
The Holy Grail is revealed in the story to be the blood of Jesus Christ that contains his power, only accessible to those descended from him, with the vessel of the Grail being defined as his body itself which the Templars uncovered in the Holy Lands.
