Successful completion of NFA Fire Inspection Principles 1 (FIP1) and Fire Inspection Principles 2 (FIP2) (NFA course codes R220, R222, R/N0390 and/or R/N0391.
You can sign up for these classes at any time and complete them at your own pace. They are not led by an instructor.
These instructor-led courses last four to six weeks. They require you to do weekly assignments, participate in discussions, and read articles as the instructor assigns them.

Fire Engineering / Firefighters Support Foundation – free training programs that address basic and advanced fire service topics. Targeted at both agency trainers and individuals, most programs include a video and PowerPoint presentation.
