Eight to ten hours of classroom-style instruction – including, in some states, the Basic e Course that you complete online before attending your first formal classroom session – prepares you for ten hours of hands-on riding exercises in a controlled, off-street environment – typically, a paved parking lot.
Capstone exercise that combines a variety of maneuvers. Skill Test. To assess basic skills using a cone weave, normal stop, turning from a stop, U-turn, quick stop, obstacle swerve, and cornering maneuver. To demonstrate basic motorcycle control skills and ability to avoid an obstacle.

Successful completion of this course, consisting of a three hour eCourse and five hours of formal classroom activities and ten hours of riding instruction conducted over two or three sessions, plus its knowledge and skill tests, may waive the license test in your state.
Only you can choose the level of safety you wish to maintain. The course will provide you with the opportunities and experiences to acquire the basic knowledge and skill that enable you to continue to practice and develop your safe riding habits. Safe riding is also a matter of attitude, and only you can provide that.
FIRST MSP was formed in 2000 for the express purpose of training new and re-entering riders to ride safely and to secure their motorcycle license through the NYSMSP Road Test Waiver Program to enjoy our wonderful sport.
FIRST MSP Coaches are all experienced motorcycle riders and rider trainers, meeting the standards of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles .#N#In addition to its MSF programs, FIRST MSP offers full motorcycle driving school services and is licensed by NYS DMV for these services.
