Course registration for students is done electronically during the open registration period. Once the registration period closes a drop/add form must be completed.
A $100.00 late registration fee will be charged to any student who has not started the registration process by: UNDERGRADUATES - last day of Spring term classes. FULL-TIME GRADUATE (including certified full-time) - first day of business in July. UNDERGRADUATES - last day of Fall term classes.
Students are expected to maintain regular progress toward the baccalaureate degree by carrying the “normal” course load—between 12 and 18 credit hours each semester. Each student is expected to complete the baccalaureate degree by attending four consecutive years and eight semesters.
A student desiring to enroll for more than 20 semester hours must secure, in addition to the above signature, approval from the Office of the Registrar via cas@ecu.edu. A student may take 7 semester hours each summer term or a maximum of 14 semester hours over the entire summer without restrictions.
Students must earn a minimum of 120 credits to be eligible for a BA or BS in the College of Arts and Sciences. Many students will transfer credits from another institution to Lehigh.
The override process allows a student with a grade of C+ or above in an Honors course to remain in that level or a B+ or above in a college course to get move to a higher level course than a teacher recommended them for.

According to Carrie Thomas, a research associate professor in the College of Sciences and director of undergraduate programs, about 17–18 credit hours is typically the maximum amount students are willing to take. Most do not want to subject themselves to the added stress of 21 or more credit hours.

Course Withdrawal An Add/Drop form signed by the student's advisor must be submitted to Registration & Academic Services before the deadlines noted above to be official. No course may be dropped after the eleventh week of classes during a term as noted on the University Calendar.

The N grade will be converted into the parenthetical grade after the tenth day of instruction in the next academic-year semester following receipt of the N grade unless the instructor has previously changed the grade using the removal-of incomplete procedure.
